Stout Street Residences and Clinic
The Stout Street Health Center and Renaissance Stout Street Lofts represent the latest and most visionary architectural venture by Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, providing integrated health care services and affordable housing within a single facility. Located in Denver, Colorado at the corner of Stout and 22nd Streets, the mixed use building sits across the street from another HPA/Coalition collaboration, Renaissance Off-Broadway Lofts.
This five-story building with a below grade parking garage will provide 100 parking spaces for those who live in 78 units of affordable housing located on the upper three floors, or for employees in the downstairs clinic, a 50,000 SF expansion of current mental and medical services provided by Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
Health care services are equally distributed between the ground and second floors both of which are organized around a central, glass-enclosed courtyard and stair that welcomes visitors and allows natural light to brighten both the intake and waiting areas. Also at grade are residential support services, including a residential lobby, property management offices and a case management suite.
Consistent with previous partnerships between HPA and the Coalition, the building includes a computer room, a community room, and an outdoor terrace on the fifth floor. The building meets Enterprise Green Communities’ standards and benefit from participation in Xcel Energy’s Energy Design Assistance program.
